How to work with HangarNight on compliance concerns.
HangarNight is a peer-to-peer marketplace where individual pilots list private hangar space and other pilots book it for overnight or short-term stays. We are a technology platform. We are not an FBO, airport operator, or aviation authority.
Every host, before submitting a listing, must affirm that they have verified their lease, insurance, airport authority rules, and any applicable Airport Security Program (Part 139 / SIDA / airport-authority-imposed access controls) permit the arrangement. We do not verify these on the host's behalf. The full affirmation and legal responsibility framework is in Section 6 of our Terms of Service.
For airports with formal FBO relationships or security programs, we are actively building partnerships that route bookings through FBO-managed compliant access rather than direct hangar handoff. If your airport authority or FBO would like to be part of this program, contact us at the address below.
If you are an airport authority, FBO, or airport operator and you have identified a listing at your field that violates your lease agreements, security program, or airport rules, we will remove it. Send an email to the address below with:
Response commitment: we will acknowledge takedown requests within 24 hours and remove verified violations from public listing within the same window.
If your airport authority determines peer-to-peer hangar rental is categorically incompatible with your Airport Security Program or lease agreements, we will add your airport to a permanent blocklist so no new listings can be created there. Email us with your airport ICAO and the position statement.
If your FBO or airport authority is interested in structuring an official partnership (booking flow routes through your FBO, revenue share, SIDA-compliant access via your existing procedures), we want to talk. This is the path we are actively investing in for Part 139 airports and larger FBO chains.
